Free People, women's clothier, to open at Eastview

Free People, a trendy chain women’s clothier, is opening a store at Eastview Mall next spring. It will be the company’s first retail outlet in upstate New York.

The company, which has stores in New York City and in 16 states, will begin construction on its new store in the mall’s Bon Ton wing in January 2012.


Some of the Free People line is now sold at Lord & Taylor, which has a store at Eastview.


Free People is known for its contemporary-style casual clothes and targets women in their 20s. The store also sells accessories.
