Rochester, NY - March 18, 2020: Eastview, The Mall at Greece Ridge and The Marketplace Mall will close at 7:00pm Thursday in compliance with NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo's order. The malls will remain closed until further notice. This includes all common areas and use of mall for social visits and exercising. Stores and restaurants with exterior entrances may remain open. Eastview Commons, Marketplace Commons and Pittsford Plaza may have stores and restaurants that remain open. Please call ahead for operating hours. Phone numbers are listed on mall websites. Rochester, NY - March 16, 2020: Several retailers within the Rochester Malls are electing to remain open and these businesses need access to their stores. We understand that these retailers have a large local employee base and are trying to remain viable. As a landlord, we must provide access to the retailers that choose to remain open.
The health and wellness of our employees and visitors is our top priority so we are doing what we can including enhanced cleaning, closing the carousels and children’s play areas, and reducing mall operating hours, effective immediately. This is in accordance with New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo’s recommendation. Hours will be, until further notice:
Monday – Saturday 11:00am – 7:00pm
Sunday Noon – 6:00pm
There are retailers that have opted to suspend operations, so we encourage visitors to call ahead. The Governor announced today that bars and restaurants are required to move to take-out only service. Some food court tenants have also elected to remain open for take-out but there will be no seating available in the food court areas. All phone numbers to restaurants are available on the mall websites. Please call ahead as not all restaurants are continuing operations.
Cinemas, gyms and entertainment venues have been mandated to close by 8:00pm today as well and will remain closed until further notice.
We will continue to monitor the COVID19 situation and follow the Center for Disease Control and Governor Cuomo’s recommendations. Please do not visit the mall if you are experiencing symptoms or feel unwell. Please continue to monitor websites and social media for continued communication as the situation is changing rapidly.

The health and safety of our customers and employees is a priority, and we are taking proactive measures, per Centers For Disease Control recommendations, to ensure the highest quality of cleaning and hygienic standards. This includes our housekeeping staff cleaning major property touchpoints with a disinfectant cleaner recommended by the CDC as useful against the human coronavirus. We are also encouraging all employees to take common-sense health precautions recommended by the CDC including frequent hand washing or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.
